Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 15, 2026 Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RedPlate (“RedPlate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Wiktor Baron, handles information when you use the RedPlate mobile application.
RedPlate is designed so that your training information is primarily stored locally on your device rather than on RedPlate-operated servers.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the handling of your information, you can contact us at:
1. Who is responsible for your information?
For purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) where applicable, the controller responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy is:
Wiktor Baron Poland support@redplate.app
2. Training and health-related information stored on your device
RedPlate may allow you to enter or generate information such as:
- workouts;
- exercises;
- sets, repetitions, weight, RPE, or similar training information;
- personal records and estimated strength values;
- bodyweight;
- training preferences;
- exercise preferences;
- onboarding information;
- discomfort, pain, or injury selections;
- strength and progress analytics generated from your training data.
This information is stored locally on your device.
RedPlate does not operate a server that receives or stores this training, workout, bodyweight, injury, or health-related information.
Your locally stored training data is not sent to RevenueCat or Shorebird.
Because this information is stored locally, we generally cannot access, recover, modify, or delete it remotely.
Deleting RedPlate from your device may permanently delete locally stored RedPlate data unless the information is otherwise preserved through a device-level backup or similar functionality controlled by your operating system.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
RedPlate uses RevenueCat to provide and manage in-app subscriptions.
When you purchase or use a RedPlate subscription, RevenueCat may process limited information necessary to verify purchases and determine your subscription status, including:
- an automatically generated anonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
- purchase and subscription history;
- Apple transaction or receipt information;
- subscription status;
- timestamps relating to app or subscription activity;
- device and technical information such as platform, operating system, app version, locale, or similar information necessary to provide the service.
RedPlate does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, workout history, injury information, or other locally stored training information.
RedPlate currently uses RevenueCat-generated anonymous user identifiers and does not use RedPlate accounts to associate RevenueCat purchase data with your real-world identity.
Payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. RedPlate does not receive or store your payment card details.
RevenueCat processes information according to its own privacy documentation, available on RevenueCat's website.
4. App updates through Shorebird
RedPlate uses Shorebird to deliver software patches and updates.
When the app checks for or downloads a Shorebird update, limited technical information may be sent to Shorebird, such as:
- RedPlate's Shorebird application identifier;
- app release version;
- installed patch version;
- device architecture;
- operating system platform;
- update channel, where applicable; and
- a randomly generated anonymous identifier associated with that particular installation of RedPlate.
According to Shorebird, this installation identifier is randomly generated and is not based on advertising identifiers or other device identifiers that identify you across applications.
Shorebird may also process ordinary network information generated through its infrastructure for operational, security, traffic-management, or abuse-prevention purposes.
RedPlate does not send your workouts, strength information, bodyweight, injury information, or other locally stored training information to Shorebird.
Shorebird processes information according to its own privacy documentation, available on Shorebird's website.
5. Communications with us
If you contact us, for example by emailing support@redplate.app, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- your email address;
- your name, if you provide it;
- the contents of your message;
- attachments or other information you choose to send.
We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, investigate problems, protect RedPlate, and maintain appropriate records.
We retain support communications only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by applicable law.
Please avoid sending medical records or other sensitive personal information when contacting support unless it is genuinely necessary.
6. Analytics and advertising
RedPlate currently does not use third-party advertising SDKs or general-purpose behavioral analytics services.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your information for cross-app advertising tracking.
We do not sell or share your locally stored workout or health-related information with advertisers.
If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy and relevant App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.
7. Why limited information is processed
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, limited information may be processed for the following reasons:
Performance of a contract. Purchase and subscription information may be processed where necessary to provide RedPlate Pro and verify that you are entitled to subscription features.
Legitimate interests. Technical information may be processed where reasonably necessary to maintain the app, deliver software updates, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests.
Legal obligations. Information may be processed or retained where necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements.
8. Data retention
Most RedPlate training information is stored only on your device, so its retention is controlled by the application and your device rather than by RedPlate-operated servers.
Information processed by RevenueCat and Shorebird is retained according to their respective policies, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
Communications sent directly to RedPlate are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the communication, protect our legitimate interests, maintain appropriate business records, or comply with legal requirements.
9. International processing
RevenueCat, Shorebird, Apple, and other infrastructure providers involved in providing the app may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Where applicable data protection laws require safeguards for international transfers, such processing is subject to the safeguards required by applicable law and the relevant service provider's contractual and privacy arrangements.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding personal information processed about you.
Under the GDPR, where applicable, these may include rights to:
- obtain information about the processing of your personal data;
- request access to personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of personal data in applicable circumstances;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
You can contact support@redplate.app to exercise applicable privacy rights.
Because RedPlate deliberately uses anonymous identifiers and does not operate user accounts, there may be circumstances where we cannot identify information as belonging to a particular person without additional information from that person.
For data stored solely on your device, RedPlate cannot remotely access or delete that information.
If you are in Poland, you also have the right, where applicable, to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
11. Children's privacy
RedPlate is not designed for children under the age of 13.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you should use RedPlate only with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly operate accounts or intentionally collect personal information directly from children under 13 through RedPlate.
12. Security
RedPlate is designed to reduce unnecessary transfer of sensitive training information by keeping that information locally on your device.
However, no device, software, storage method, or electronic communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your device, including device access controls where appropriate.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when RedPlate changes, when we introduce new services or providers, or when legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
If a change materially affects how personal information is processed, we may provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
